Supermoto street-chase in British action movie

Yamaha's XT660X Supermoto is to feature in a heart-pumping high-speed chase through the streets of London in the 2012 British action-thriller, Welcome To The Punch.

The London based production company, Between The Eyes, has chosen to XT660 for its slick urban looks and city-shredding performance. The bikes will feature in the film alongside British actors James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class) and Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes).

Yamaha Motor UK have provided the production studios with six of the bikes, and with the history of vehicles in film making, they probably won't be expecting to see them all in one piece at the end of it.

The bikes are to be used in the fast paced opening sequence of the film, which sees the two main characters battling it out in a ferociously dangerous chase scene.

Filming started on 18th July in the hands of Director Eran Creevy, and is being filmed around the famous London landmark, Canary Wharf, as well as 3 Mills Studios.

Other films to feature Yamaha products in recent years include the James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace' and the Johnny English sequel (out September) featuring Rowan Atkinson and Yamaha's FX Nytro XT-X Snowmobile.
