This year’s Goodwood Revival (16-18th September) will see classic 1960s bikes battling through the sweeping curves of the Goodwood Motor Circuit, in the hands of a group of star riders from racing eras past and present.

Bikes making the starting grid will include British favourites such as Manx Nortons and Matchless G50s, competing with overseas exotica including Ducati, BMW, MV Augusta and Gilera.

These rider in-charge of taming them include Trevor Nation, Michael Rutter, Chas Mortimer, Sean Emmett, James Haydon, Stan Woods and plus father and son Paul and Scott Smart, brother-in-law and nephew of the late Barry Sheene, after whom the race is named.

There will be one race on Saturday and another on Sunday, with the result decided by aggregate timing.  Each owner-rider is paired up with a pro racer, and they will change over in the pits around half distance.  The Le Mans-style running start is something not to be missed, so make sure you find a good postition to take it in!
