The first Ducati clothing and accessory airport store outside of Italy has opened in Terminal 1 at Manchester Airport. As part of the launch, the airport has put together an impressive promotional video, showcasing the opening of the store.
In the clip you can catch motorcyclist Darren Fry hitting speeds of 180mph on runway 2, riding through an empty pier at T1 and speeding through the main shopping entrance into the new store. Not a usual day at the office for Fry, who said: “I’m not sure how feasible it’ll be to keep Runway 2 as my full-time testing area but I have left that request on the table for the airport authorities!”
The promotional video-stunt formed part of the new project for Manchester Airport Group and Ducati, with the diverse audience of travellers in Terminal 1 providing both parties with an ideal market to exhibit the renowned Ducati product. As the global gateway for the North of the UK hosting millions of passengers each year, it’s no surprise that motorcycle enthusiasts all over have been visiting the new shop at Manchester Airport.
To celebrate the opening of the store and the launch of this unique video, Manchester Airport has teamed up with Ducati to offer you a chance to win an amazing prize. You could be in with a chance of winning two exclusive Paddock Passes to the Qatar MotoGP in 2014, return flights from Manchester Airport with Qatar Airways and accommodation for 5 nights at the Renaissance Dohar City Center Hotel.
