This RST Adventure-X CE Waterproof Boots review focuses on a microfibre touring boot with twin buckles and a Sinaqua membrane. Its reinforced midsole, integrated ankle protection and adventure sole provide useful details to compare when choosing a substantial road boot.

Twin buckles and an anti-twist midsole
Two buckles and an upper hook-and-loop fastening secure the boot, with a rear puller to help entry. Adjust the closures with your normal socks and trousers, then check that the heel remains located as you bend the knee. The TPU shin component and integrated ankle protection should sit comfortably in that posture, not just when standing upright.
The underfoot arrangement includes a nylon shank and anti-twist midsole above RST’s adventure outsole. Check the complete structure on your footpegs and beneath the gear lever, including the movements needed for braking and changing gear. A TPU shift pad and integrated toe box reinforce the front of the boot. Sinaqua is the waterproof layer within the microfibre construction, alongside a mesh lining and Amara inner facing. Consider the upper, membrane and fastening together when following the care instructions, and dry the boots appropriately after wet use.
Protection and construction
The specification lists protection at the shin and ankle. Check that these areas sit correctly when you adopt your riding position.
