This Klim Outlander Gore-Tex Leather Boots review looks at a riding boot with hiking-style intentions, a BOA closure and waterproof lining. Its leather upper, supportive lasting board and discrete reinforcement make on-bike control feel and off-bike walking fit equally relevant checks.

BOA closure and mixed riding-and-walking use
The BOA system tensions an open wire-lace arrangement intended to shed debris. Practise tightening and releasing it with your gloves while stationary, and check that pressure remains even across the foot. The rear loop helps with entry, while the removable insole lets you inspect the supplied footbed before considering an alternative that could change the internal fit.
A polycarbonate lasting board supports the foot, with reinforced toe and heel caps and XRD padding at the ankle and top of the foot. The outsole has an aggressive tread pattern, but its appearance does not establish grip on every surface. Check footpeg contact and gear-lever clearance as well as a short indoor walk. Gore-Tex provides the listed waterproof membrane, and the leather should be cleaned and dried according to Klim’s care instructions.
Protection and construction
The specification lists protection at the heel and ankle. Check that these areas sit correctly when you adopt your riding position.
Versions and options
The checked listing links to these options: Stealth Black, Castlerock / Petrol, Asphalt / High Risk Red, Chocolate Brown. Check the selected version and available sizes before ordering; the linked price may apply to a particular option.
