This Nexx X.WST 2 Carbon review looks at a carbon-fibre sports-touring helmet with an internal sun visor and provision for the optional X-Com system. Its adjustable upper vent and interior air channels are relevant features for longer journeys, without establishing a measured cooling or noise result.

Touring equipment and visor operation

The three-position upper vent is designed for glove operation, and the EPS liner has additional air channels. Try the control reach while wearing the helmet. The 80% tinted internal sun visor uses a separate button mechanism; check clearance and the instructions on when to use it.

The specification includes Emergency Strap V2 and a removable interior. Follow Nexx instructions for these components rather than treating an emergency release as a routine fitting aid. X-Com compatibility does not mean an intercom is included, and Pinlock-ready preparation does not establish that an insert is supplied.

Protection and construction

The listed approval is ECE 22.05. Check the exact helmet label and specification for the version you are buying, particularly if you need it for a track event.

Fit and adjustment

The chin-strap fastening is Double-D. Make sure you are comfortable operating that fastening and adjusting it securely before choosing the helmet.

Comfort and everyday use

The interior is removable for cleaning. Follow the manufacturer’s care instructions and refit the pads in their original positions.
