Here is Apex’s description of the Apex Antero VS Men’s Men’s Ski Boots 2024 MP 29.0: The VS is Apex s newest version of the innovative and popular Antero. This latest model is lighter and shorter, with better closure but the same impressive performance and ease of use. Apex boots deliver all the performance you demand but their unique design adds comfort and convenience you wouldn’t expect. The obvious thing is that it doesn’t use a full plastic shell. The open chassis construction has a rigid outer skeleton that powers and drives the skis, with a separate Walkable Boot that sits inside this frame. It uses three clips to secure the boot and can be tuned to each skier via an adjustable forward lean, three position flex and dual cuff alignment. The liner uses a multi-density heat mouldable foam that can be shaped to better fit the skier’s foot for the best comfort and precision. Simple to use, but effective, Two-Zone Double-Stack Boa closure systems ensure good wrap and an even pressure thanks to the Serpentine lacing system. The Walkable Boot makes getting resort easy and uses Vibram s renowned winter-gripping Ice Trek outsole. No more slipping and sliding in rigid plastic boots with no grip. Ability Level Boots12 Overview Fit Surprisingly snug, provides firm heel and ankle hold, a medium width on the forefoot and the BOA + rachet straps give flexibility for height over the instep. Shell Open Chassis. New Nanolite Carbon chassis for lightweight, high-modulus support. This is a totally unique design that, unlike traditional full shell plastic boots, is just a frame. In addition to the comfort this can provide, it also offers a customisable flex that is independent of fit, along with superior stability and precise edge control, plus an adjustable flex-arm with four forward lean positions. The lateral stiffness of the chassis and cuff provide a direct connection to your skis, providing powerful energy transmission and precise control. Liner Multi-density design with new QPlush high resiliency foam, mouldable. A high-quality liner is critical to any ski boot. The Apex liner can be heat moulded and fitted to meet your individual needs. Combined with the Walkable Boot, the Apex boot liner provides added warmth and comfort to enhance your ski experience. Uses an expanded neoprene toe-box for added comfort. The liner sits in the Walkable Boot, a snowboard style of outer boot that uses a Two-Zone Double-Stack Boa design with Serpentine lacing system. This provides a more secure and comfortable closure over your instep. The Serpentine lacing acts as a pully system, drawing the tongue down over your instep instead of pushing down like traditional cross lacing. Maximum heel retention is the result. Key Features Walkable Boot Snowboard boots have always featured a soft exterior and comfort that no ski boot could offer. Snowboarders could perform all day on the mountain, and then walk around at the end of the day in the same boots and never worry about loosening them up. The Apex Walkable Support Boot provides the comfort and warmth of a snowboard boot that you can ski in all day long. Separable from the Open Chassis, the Walkable Boot provides a full-traction outsole for getting to and from the mountain in comfort and safety and 360-degree support without pressure points. Locks into the Chassis for a solid connection to your skis. Open Heel Design Positions the walking boot back into the ultra-secure Vault System providing immediate responsiveness and a shorter boot sole length. Integrated Heel Cup & Bridge Reduced weight and streamlined structure of the chassis creating The Vault. Carbon Reinforced Flex Arm Adjusts forward lean and flex range. Articulating Swing Straps Pivot out of the way for super easy entry into the chassis. Duel Zone Boa Closure Powerful lower leg grip and heel retention provided by 20 points of closure for a custom fit every time.
