Here is Bataleon’s description of the Bataleon Men’s The Jam Snowboard: ALL TERRAIN POWERHOUSE FOR HARD CHARGING RIDERSAs the flagship board of Bataleon’s all-terrain series, the Jam has earned itself an enviable reputation as being one of the very best all-terrain board out there. Its combination of class-leading high performance and all-terrain versatility has just about made it the default choice for experienced riders who are looking to push their riding to the absolute limit. Completely re-engineered for this season, the new Jam is a tour de force of innovation and technology. Built around a state of the art directional twin chassis with Freestyle 3BT and Sidekick technology, the Jam is equally at home charging groomers, dropping tree runs or hitting the pro-line in the park. In fact, whatever and wherever you ride, this is one board that’s going to be able to take it all in its stride.Rider Style ‘Experienced to expert riders who are looking for a hard charging all terrain board that will let them take it to the max in all types of terrain and conditions. Shape Overview’The Jam utilises a state of the freeride inspired directional twin chassis. This versatile shape combines all the feel and control of a true twin, with the stability, power and response that you normally only get from a directional board. With its slight increase in nose volume, the Jam delivers great float in the pow and a stable and solid ride on the piste. Profile’As with the rest of the Bataleon range, it’s the unique Freestyle 3BT shape with sidekicks technology that sets the Jam apart from its competitors. This advanced 3D base profile combined with an overall traditional camber delivers truly stunning performance in all types of terrain. The Freestyle 3BT profile divides the base at the front and back of the board into three equally proportionate sections. The two side-base section are then angled upwards with a medium height uplift to create the 3BT trademark profile. Combine this with the traditional camber, and you have a board that not only turns easier and with more stability, but you also get a board that floats better in pow as well as being more playful and forgiving for those when you want to hit the park.Side Kicks’SideKick dramatically increases the side base uplift just outside the widest part of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation smoother, increases float in powder and improves handling of the board in rough terrain.Internals’Internally the Jam utilises some of the most advanced construction available. Heading this up is the all-new Light Core. This advanced wood core combines lightweight paulownia and durable poplar to create a responsive yet featherweight foundation for the board’s great performance. To this Bataleon’s engineers then add their DRST carbon tubes technology. This inserts snappy carbon tubes into pre-milled channels that mimic the geometry of the sidecut. These power up the board through the turn, delivering a level of response and control that is nothing short of intoxicating. To this Bataleon then fit structural layers formed from torsionally responsive tri-ax glass reinforced with carbon stringers running either side of the insert pack tip to tail. These stiffen up the flex both torsionally and through the length, ensuring that when you need the Jam to step up, it’s not going to let you down.Base’To ensure that Jam performs at the highest level, Bataleon fit it with their high-performance Ultra Glide S base. This super tough maximum molecular weight base material hauls ass as well as being super tough.
