Here is Ride’s description of the Ride Women’s Magic Stick Snowboard: Aimed at intermediate to expert riders, the Magic Stick is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a board that’s ideal for exploring the resort and venturing into the backcountry. Built around a fully directional shape, the Magic Stick is designed to optimise performance on groomers, in the pow and when generally cruising around the mountain. With its longer and fuller nose shape and an extended rocker profile in the front of the board, the Magic Stick delivers outstanding lift and float in the pow. Out on the piste, the Magic Stick is equally accomplished; the slightly narrower tail, working with the advanced tapered bi-radial sidecut and responsive setback camber, delivers a solid and stable performance on edge, giving you the confidence to push your riding. Now one of the defining characteristics of the Magic Stick is that it delivers outstanding performance without being overly aggressive. This combination of performance and rider friendliness means that when you want to push yourself, the board comes alive, but it will be equally obliging when you want to cruise around. Rider Style: Intermediate to advanced riders looking for a versatile, mellow board that can deliver outstanding performance in all terrain and conditions. Shape Overview: Directional The Magic Stick’s advanced tapered directional shape has been designed to deliver the perfect balance of on-piste control with off-piste lift and float. The most obvious sign of this is the exaggerated full nose shape. This innovative nose design provides effortless lift and float without feeling weighty or unwieldy. Ride, then match this with a mid-width central platform under the feet and a more traditional tail profile. This combination creates a stable board that feels at home on the piste, in the pow, and even when playing around on the mountain. Now to ensure that the Magic Stick can take full advantage of its advanced shape, it features an advanced Double Radius Sidecut. This clever sidecut allows for the underfoot width of a wide board with the tip/tail width of a standard board. This design provides improved leverage on landings, grip through turns, and stability on flat base. Profile: Directional Extra Camber The Magic Stick’s Directional Extra Camber profile combines an extended rocker at the nose with a powerful setback camber under the feet. This responsive combination delivers excellent lift and float at the front of the board, while the camber under the feet creates a solid and stable ride on edge while upping pop and power through the length. Construction Internally the Magic Stick has been optimised to deliver the perfect all-terrain performance. Heading this up is the women’s specific Performance Core. Constructed from a combination of high-strength Aspen, poppy Bamboo and lightweight Paulownia, it provides the perfect balance of strength, flex, power and weight. Sitting on top of this are the Double Impact plates, which cushion the bindings from hard landings and add an extra layer of defence against core compression. The structural layers are created from an advanced Hybrid Glassfibre. This combination of tri-ax glass on top and bi-ax on the base delivers the optimum torsional and longitudinal stiffness balance for the ultimate response and control. The structural layers are then further reinforced with the addition of the Carbon Array 3 reinforcing. By placing 3 carbon strips running from the contact points through the binding zones at both the tip and tail, Ride powers up the contact points, creating a faster and more responsive tip-and-tail engagement without compromising the torsional twist through the centre of the board. To add a bit more dynamic flex through the length, the Magic Stick features linear carbon laminates running either side of the insert pack from contact point to contact point. Base: Sintered The Magic Stick’s high-performance Stone-Ground 4000 sintered base gives a faster glide across a wide range of snow temperatures and conditions..
