Here is Scott’s description of the Scott Superguide 95 Skis 2024 184cm: Scott’s Superguide 95 is a great choice for stronger tourers and freeskiers thanks to its combination of lightweight and impressive alpine performance. A big reason for this is the wood core of light paulownia that still retains great strength, and the denser beech stringers that bring extra stability. Carbon Aramid layers on top of this improve the dampening further and the 3Dimension Tour Sidecut ensures versatility thanks to its mix of turn radius. It’s a ski that feels light on the way up and powerful on the way down no matter what the conditions. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type The Superguide 95 is going to suit a real mix of conditions and terrain. The mid 90’s waist is the sweet spot for freeskiers, offering float for soft and deeper days without becoming too wide and cumbersome or heavy. The construction, carbon aramid fibres and the mix of woods, including the firmer Beech stringers, make sure the ski has plenty of bite on hard snow and grip on steep terrain. The 3Dimension Tour Sidecut ensures great handling whatever the snow and the Tip rocker improves control when things are softer or trickier. Skier Type It’s a ski that will appeal to stronger tourers and freeskiers who will be happy with a little bit more weight because of the benefits that this brings on the descent. Known for excellent edge hold and grip, you can really push it with total confidence on firmer or steeper slopes. Less skilled skiers may prefer a more forgiving ride, especially when the snow gets tricky, but confident skiers are going to be very impressed. Overview Shape The new 3Dimension Touring Sidecut is a revolutionary design for a better touring tuning that combines a tip and tail radius with either a central flat line or a small amount of sidecut under foot. The tip and tail radii allow for easy turn initiation while the flat line or a larger radius provides stability, power and precise edge hold. Rocker Tip Rocker 320. Combining a progressive shape with increased tip height and radius creates Pro-Tip Rocker. Scott’s Pro-Tip provides a more versatile and forgiving ski no matter the conditions. Agility and progressiveness are improved, increased stability in powder and deep snow, plus forgiveness for easier turn control. Core A full length, Dual Wood Core of paulowonia and beech stringers produces a more consistent ski flex and creates a homogeneous transition between the middle part and rockered tip and tail. The paulownia has excellent strength to weight characteristics; the beech is tough and strong to bosst versatility Construction Sandwich Tour. Making the ski as light as possible is important, but keeping the downhill performance is essential. This is why Scott reinforced the ski with carbon/aramid fibres along the full length of the ski. These strategically placed strips are torsionally rigid with an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. The result is a stable yet lively ride in a lightweight package that’s still surprisingly quick and reliable on the ascent and won’t let you down on that hard-earned descent. Key Features Factory Finish Scott skis come direct from the factory ready to ski with SCOTT’s Factory Finish. Factory Finish offers an effective edge angle of 88 degree, resulting from a 3degree side and 1degree base angle for an exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required. EB tester‚Äôs comments: Alex (Braehead) Light and firm, for someone whom losing grams matter and skiing on the way down is the focus. Super-light construction makes going up hills fast and ski technical terrain on the way down sure footed.
